My contribution to the RBC Climate Action 2025 Report

Seven Sisters Falls

Last summer I got contacted and invited to contribute to the RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) Climate Action 2025 Report. They were looking for photographers across Canada to submit pictures for their report, for Manitoba, they were mostly looking for agriculture, hydroelectricity and wind power generation. On top of the possibility of having pictures chosen to be published in their report, there was a chance for a prize along with the occasion to be exposed in an exhibition in Toronto. I chose to participate and won the second prize across the nation, which gave me a brand new high quality lens for my camera.

While I don’t have a date yet for the in person exhibition yet, there is a small online gallery recognizing the contributing photographers, you can find it here, photographers are listed in alphabetical orders and you can find me under Marc Gilbert and view some of my submissions.

The RBC Climate Action 2025 Report as also being published, in it you’ll be able to see some of my pictures including the background behind the title that I took of the Seven Sisters Falls dam, the one for the section entitled “idea of the year” that I took if the Great Falls hydroelectric dam, the one from “climate action barometer” of a lone dead tree in front of an upcoming rainstorm I took near St-Malo and the one from the “electricity” section which I took of the wall of the Seven Sisters generating station. You can click here to view the report. There is also a few additional pictures that were chosen for the printed pdf version

As mentioned previously, there will also be an exhibition in Toronto and possibly Winnipeg which I’m pretty excited about about (details to come).
